The following conditions apply to renting and booking a room, a suite, a part of the accommodation or the entire villa. Please read the conditions carefully. We wish you a pleasant stay at Villa Gufo!
The reservation is final as soon as it is confirmed by us via e-mail or our booking engine.
At the time of booking, a down payment of 50% of the reservation sum is required. The remainder must be paid no later than six weeks before the start of the stay. If a booking is made within the six-week period, the total reservation sum is to be paid immediately. In case of a cancellation more than six weeks before the start of your stay, 50% of the deposit will be returned. In case of cancellation within the period of six weeks no refund will be made. We therefore recommend a cancellation insurance. By paying your contribution for the rent of a room, a part of the accommodation or the entire villa, you automatically agree to the GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS of Villa Gufo, version January 2022.
In case of cancellation by the tenant up to six weeks before the date of arrival, 50% of the total amount shall be refunded. That is to say, provided that at the time of cancellation the total amount has been paid by the tenant. If only 50% of the total amount has been paid at the time of cancellation, there will be no refund. For cancellations within six weeks before arrival, no refunds will be made. We recommend taking out a cancellation and travel insurance.
In case of force majeure or unforeseen circumstances, the landlord can cancel the reservation. Unforeseen circumstances and force majeure include, but are not limited to:
- that the house is no longer suitable for letting, for example: due to a natural disaster
- that the house is no longer available, for example: due to sudden sale of the house by the landlord, a double booking or the outbreak of a pandemic.
In this case the landlord will refund the already partially or fully paid rental costs without being obliged to pay any compensation. The landlord is never liable for the costs of any services booked by the (co-)tenant himself, for example: flight tickets, car rental, boat trip, bus/train trip, etc.
The real-time availability of our accommodation can be found in the booking engine. Arrival from 3PM, departure before 10AM, but may be changed upon mutual agreement.
The use of our villa (rooms, suites, part of the villa or the entire villa) is entirely at your own risk, i.e. we, the owners of Villa Gufo, are in no way liable and cannot be held responsible for any damage or injury suffered by you in our villa (rooms, suites, part of the villa or the entire villa) or on our property, in whatever form. In the event of damage to our property exceeding the amount of the security deposit, the General Liability Act shall apply and the damage may be settled by means of the Liability Insurance.
You are welcome to use Villa Gufo for the duration of your stay. The use of Villa Gufo is based on mutual trust and respect for our property. In this regard the inventory of the house should be kept in the same state as you found it upon arrival. It is appreciated to report any (small) damage immediately to the owner of Villa Gufo.

When booking, we ask for a deposit. These are set by us as follows:
- Entire villa € 1,500
- Terra house € 1,000
- Superiore house € 1,000
- Terra flat € 750
This deposit will be refunded within three weeks after departure to the specified bank account number. We are authorized to offset any damage against the deposit. If the cost of the damages exceeds the deposit paid, you are obliged to pay the difference.
Villa Gufo is a non-smoking villa. Smoking is not permitted inside the rooms, suites, part of the villa and the entire villa. Dogs are allowed after mutual agreement.
Villa Gufo as a whole is suitable for up to 15 people. It is not allowed to stay in the villa with more than 15 guests.
