If you are considering flying to our region, we strongly advice to fly to Brindisi or Bari. These are the most efficient airports and run international flights regularly.
International Airport of Brindisi ‘Salento’: Brindisi airport is located 30 minutes from Villa Gufo. There are many airlines flying to Brindisi for both international and national traffic. Very cheap flights with low cost airlines are available through the year from the main European capitals.
International Airport of Bari “Karol Wojtyła”: Located 1 hour and 15 min from Villa Gufo, it is the main airport of the region. There are many airlines flying to Bari for both international and national traffic.
Both airports are well served with bus services and international and local car rental companies. Other Italian airports that are within easy reach to Puglia are Naples, Rome and Pescara, with internal flights via Milan and Rome to Bari or Brindisi.
Bologna 750 km
By car
As we know from our own experience, we know how much fun it is to take a road trip to southern Italy. When you enter Italy the most pleasant way to drive to Puglia is via Bologna. From there take the ‘Autostrada d’Adriatica’ (A14). Along this road you can see beautiful landscapes and often see the Adriatic Sea. It is ideal to make a stopover along this road in the often unknown coastal towns.
