Booking Terms & Security Deposit (Villa Rental)

B. VILLA GUFO – Exclusive villa rental for groups

1. Booking

The reservation is final once it has been confirmed by us via email or through our booking engine.

2. Payment, Cancellation & Terms Agreement

A.Payment & Cancellation Policy

When booking a room or suite in our Boutique Bed & Breakfast, a 50% deposit of the total reservation amount is required. The remaining balance must be paid no later than 8 weeks before arrival.

For bookings made within 8 weeks of arrival, the full amount must be paid immediately.

In case of cancellation more than 8 weeks before arrival, 50% of the deposit will be refunded. For cancellations within 8 weeks of arrival, no refund will be given. We therefore strongly recommend travel cancellation insurance.

By making your payment for the rental of a room or suite, you automatically agree to the GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS of Villa Gufo (version January 2025).

B. When booking the entire villa, 100% of the total reservation amount is required at the time of booking.

In case of cancellation more than 6 months before arrival, 100% of the payment will be refunded. For cancellations within 6 months of arrival, no refund will be given. We therefore strongly recommend travel cancellation insurance.

By making your payment for the rental of the entire villa, you automatically agree to the GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS of Villa Gufo (version January 2025).

3. Cancellation by the Owner

Cancellation by the Owner

In the event of force majeure or unforeseen circumstances, the owner reserves the right to cancel the reservation. Unforeseen circumstances and force majeure include, but are not limited to:

• The villa is no longer suitable for rental (e.g., due to natural disasters or other calamities).
• The villa is no longer available (e.g., due to the sale of the property by the owner).
• A double booking or the outbreak of a pandemic.

In such cases, the owner will refund any fully or partially paid rental fees but will not be liable for any additional compensation.

The owner is not responsible for any costs related to services booked by the tenant(s) independently, such as flights, car rentals, ferry tickets, bus/train travel, etc.

4. Availability, Check-in & Check-out Times

The real-time availability of our accommodation can be found in the booking module.

Check-in: from 4:00 PM
Check-out: by 11:00 AM
(flexible upon request with the host).

5. Are children welcome?

A. In our Boutique Bed & Breakfast: Children are welcome from 12 years and older.

B. Full Villa Rental for Groups: Children of all ages are welcome, with no age restrictions.

6. Liability

When staying at our villa (both for B&B stays and full villa rentals), you do so entirely at your own risk.

This means that we, the owners of Villa Gufo, are in no way liable and cannot be held responsible for any damage or injury sustained in our villa (rooms, suites, or the entire property), in shared spaces, or anywhere on our premises, in any form.

If damage to our property exceeds the security deposit amount (for full villa rentals), the General Liability Law will apply, and the damage may be settled through a Liability Insurance policy.

7. House rules & Respect for property

You are warmly welcome to enjoy Villa Gufo for the duration of your stay. The use of Villa Gufo is based on mutual trust and respect for our property. We kindly ask you to leave the house and its inventory in the same condition as you found it upon arrival. Any (minor) damage should be reported immediately to the owner of Villa Gufo. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.

8. Extra costs, tourist tax & deposti

A.Boutique Bed & Breakfast Stay
A tourist tax of €1 per person, per night will be charged at check-out. Children 12 years and older also pay €1 per night.

B. Full Villa Rental
For full villa rentals, a tourist tax of €1 per person, per night will also be charged at check-out. Children 12 years and older pay €1 per night as well.

Security Deposit
Upon arrival, a security deposit of €750 must be paid. This deposit will be refunded within three weeks after departure to the provided bank account. In case of damage, the cost will be deducted from the security deposit. If the damage exceeds the deposit amount, the remaining balance must be covered by the guest.

Cleaning Fee
A cleaning fee of €500 is charged at the time of booking. This includes both interim cleaning during your stay and the final cleaning.

9.Pets & Smoking

Villa Gufo is a smoke-free accommodation. Smoking is not allowed inside the rooms and living areas, but it is permitted outdoors.

Dogs and other pets are not allowed.

10.Number of Guests

A. Boutique Bed & Breakfast Stay
The stay is permitted only for the number of guests for whom payment has been made.

B. Full Villa Rental
Villa Gufo can accommodate a maximum of 12 guests. It is not permitted to exceed this limit or stay with more guests than the number for which payment has been made.

11. Payment Methods

During your booking, you can pay online via our booking engine.
During your stay at Villa Gufo or at check-out, we accept cash, bank cards, credit cards, and Apple Pay.

12. No Rights Derived

No rights can be derived from the information, photos, images, or links provided on the villagufo.com website.
